of Duties, Responsibilities and Qualifications:

As an IT Manager, Mr. Koelker Supervised and provided team leadership for all technology functions as well as the Network Administrator and Help Desk personnel. He was tasked with developing an inventory of the school's hardware and software resources, including licensing, to implement a system of replacements and upgrades for all such resources, and manage the technology budget and vendor contracts. He developed and implemented a Helpdesk trouble ticket system and resource scheduling system for approximately two dozen facilities by means of SharePoint and email. Mr. Koelker upgraded the network infrastructure to managed switches and gigabit fiber, implemented 5 wireless hotspots on 95 acre campus, put into operation high speed scanning capability for 10+ production printers. He also reduced the server farm by ~30% through consolidation of functions and applications.

As a Project Manager, Mr. Koelker Managed cross-functional team(s)/workgroups for projects and initiatives throughout Mid-Atlantic states. He provided positive project communications for scope, risk, budget, schedule, and staff. He worked closely with clients to align project activities with business goals and deliver successful solutions and coordinated technology/implementation plans with other divisions & project areas. His projects included a $1.3M, remote Data Center buildout constructed for redundancy as part of disaster recovery plan, a 3 phase deployment of IBM xSeries, iSeries, and pSeries blade centers, and the development of a data repository in Lotus Notes for project management document templates such as project charter, SOW, etc.

Mr. Koelker worked as a Small Systems Consultant II serving in a tier 3 capacity and above. In this role, he provided technical support for various Internet connectivity issues such as DSL, Cable, ISDN, Wireless, T-1, fractional T, satellite, and dial-up for agent force of approximately 1,300, internal staff of 1,000, and 18 branch offices. His most successful project was: Deployed Windows XP to 2,000+ desktop computers throughout 13 states completed 4 months ahead of schedule. He also eliminated 18% of broadband connectivity failures by researching, securing, and installing substitute router technology in companywide agencies. Mr. Koelker developed and facilitated Domain Name Serve (DNS) training for the entire Support Center Team to enhance understanding of Internet functionality.
